Universal Exaltation of the Precious

and Life-Giving Cross

of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ

Before Thy Cross,

We bow down and worship, O Master!

And Thy holy Resurrection

We glorify!

The photo depicts the Holy Cross placed in the midst of our Mission Church for veneration by the faithful and adorned with fresh flowering basil. According to an ancient tradition, the Cross is adorned with flowers and basil on this day to commemorate the basil which grew up around the foot of the Cross after the crucifixion of Christ our God, where the tears of His Most-Pure Mother mingled with the Precious Blood of her Son.
